We went yesterday down to see Luke at college. My kids adore their older brothers and sister and learn so much from them, and so do I. Katie happened to be home and came with us. Awesome to spend time with her too. Katie was on the computer and listening to Wunderground Radio - a service of MPR - and I am now officially hooked. It's great music for kids and stuff that parents can tolerate. I certainly want my kids to know music and this is a great way for them to be exposed to all types of music. For example, right now we are listening to In the Mood by Glenn Miller. A classic that I played for Jazz Band in school. But they also play Devo and AC/DC and then all the other kid stuff like Schoolhouse Rock... well, here's a sample:
10:58
Chairlift - Bruises
10:55
Harry Nilsson - Blanket For A Sail
10:52
Madness - Our House
10:48
Paul Westerberg - Tell Me Who You Gonna Marry?
10:45
The Coasters - Charlie Brown
10:41
Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child
10:39
Mary Timony - Clap Your Hands
10:36
Ladyhawke - Magic
10:32
Pavement - Cut Your Hair
10:29
Neil Diamond - Cracklin' Rosie
10:26
The Muppet Babies - I'm Gonna Always Love You
10:23
Mike Doughty - Put It Down
10:18
Yo La Tengo - Speeding Motorcycle
10:15
Emotions - Best Of My Love
10:11
Belle and Sebastian - Like Dylan In The Movies
10:10
Spongebob Squarepants - Spongebob Squarepants Theme
10:07
10,000 Maniacs - Candy Everybody Wants
10:02

And Casey, has turned our family on to Twitter (BKPDassel). Now if I could just get my friends to increase their technology usage... plus I so want an iPhone, that would make it even more fun.
Currently, Thing One is at preschool after a week's absence due to the strep. Thing Two is supposed to be taking a nap, but I'm sitting here listening to his door open and close and little feet running. I don't care if he naps b/c he is having sleep issues at night so the more tired he is in the evening, the more likely he is to fall and stay asleep when he needs to. But I think Special K and I better go rescue him before he tears up his room due to boredom.
