I forgot about the Heffalumps in Pooh Bear's dream/nightmare.
So I'm putting the boys to bed and we were talking about the story when I mentioned Tigger and Thing One said, Mom, please don't talk about that. I didn't like those elephants. They creeped me out.
I smiled and said, Yeah, when I was a kid they creeped me out too.
Thing One says, Well then why did you pick out that movie for us? You know I don't like scary things.
Hmmm... Sorry, I say. Let's talk about the happy stuff then.
So we did and then the boys started to get really sleepy. I usually snuggle in bed with Thing One and we do a little ditty from the book, Guess Who Much I Love You. Thing One usually says, I love you all the way to God and back. And I say, Oh, that's far. And then I'll say for example, I love you you as much as there are snowflakes outside. And he'll say, Whoa, that's a lot! (which right now, it is).
Last night I said, I do love you so much. I will love you until you are 101. And Thing One said, Wow, then you'd probably be... umm... dead.
I laughed and said, Yes, I probably would be.
Thing One: I would miss you a lot, Mom.
I would miss you too, but I would always be with you, in your heart. I would be happy when you were happy and sad when you were sad.
Thing One: I would be very very sad if you were dead Mom.
Me:We don't have to worry about that for a long long time.
We snuggled and he quickly fell asleep. I cherish each moment with all of them.
On a less dramatic note, Special K is 8 months old.
Holy cow, where did that go?
She's now in the high chair.
Whoa.
No longer my wee tiny.
