I LOVE SUMMER!
I could fill an entire post of how much I love summer. I love that Mark has the summer off. I love warm weather and not struggling with winter coats. I love bare feet. I love flowers. I love growing vegetables. I love baseball. I love playing softball. And on and on and on...
We are having a great summer so far and even in the midst of Thing Two's absolutely insane tantrums (holy cow meltdown central, I'm surprised the police haven't come for a neighbor calling them to do a welfare check). Anyway... we will survive this though it's difficult to see him be sooo sad when he's usually a happy go-lucky guy.
Without further ado - the most recent fun...
We are also enjoying our cilantro, basil and soon will enjoy tomatoes, peas, and beans (Thing One cannot wait for those).
Here is Mark entertaining Things One and Two and our family friends while at their lake place. The guy is a constant, tireless entertainer with endless ideas of how to distract and occupy young minds.
And I can't wait for cucumbers, squash and our pumpkins.
Awesome.
Thing Two LOVES Underdogs (is that capitalized?). He can swing for hours.
And we usually do.
Too bad for K that she has to wait in the stroller for her turn.
The Crocs are usually kicked off.
Gotta love bare feet. The dirtier the better.
Thing Two looked as though he was going to fall off of his motorcycle. And he NEVER looks like he is having fun. Thing One yelps with excitement and usually has a permagrin on his face. Two is as deadpan as ever.
But when you help him off and ask him if he had fun, he smiles and says, Yeah.
The kids were on the dock with the dads fishing which Mark later reported was chaos and that we are lucky no one lost an eye.
Thing One caught his first fish (missed that picture) and he went on the tube behind the boat (got that pic, but it's so far away it could be anyone).
We loved being on the lake with the kids though Thing Two has boycotted all things swimming (swim diaper and suit included). We were just happy to have him on the dock and in the boat. We can't wait to visit again!
