i like to move it move it

I love to dance with my kids. I *love* to dance. So... dancing with kids is a bonus because they think you are playing with them, when really, I just love to dance and am so happy that I am able to dance with someone! Lonely living room dancing can be so sad. And my Superhero is... well... let's just say he likes to dance and we usually end up laughing. But I do love dancing with him too! (see above *).

So I'm getting them into music that I danced to at age 18-24 or so. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I'm smart enough to realize that me going out to clubs at my age looks pathetic. Or at least I remember being 20-something and watching women back then who were at my age now out at clubs, dancing, and thinking, They look pathetic. The bummer part is that I miss that scene... the music/dance part of it... not the cheesey meat market, expensive alcohol and gross hangover feeling parts of it. The other part that is fortunate or unfortunate is that I'm not so sure that my music is necessarily good music, and really it's not, but it's got a good beat or so they'd say on Bandstand and that's why I love it. And while I like the Dead, the Doors, Tom Petty, the Police, Bob Marley, etc., I don't want to teach them that kind of dancing just yet. Baby steps. Besides people usually assume that type of music involves other chemical substances and yeah, let's not go there.

I finally got a video of them dancing. I have wanted this for some time. Now I realize they are my children, and this is my boring blog about them, but this is truly hilarious. I can't wait to play it for them at their 16th birthday parties or graduations. And I'm not quite sure if it's too early to judge whether they got Superhero's rhythm or mine. (I do think K has mine). ha ha (this is ALL said with love honey!!)

Without further ado, here it is.
And I take music requests if you'd like to see their performance to one of your favorite songs.
Currently, this is theirs. Thanks Madagascar.
