But since Saturday a.m., the three have been spiking temps of 100-103. I can't even remember who wins the highest award. I think it was K at 103.something. I decided once it hit 104 that we'd go into the doc/ER. No one has gotten there yet. But high temps and according to Thing Two, My teeth hurt. It gets so crazy I have to write down temps and dosing of Tylenol/Motrin or I mix 'em up.
I'm thinking this is all viral. I don't want them to get poked and prodded to only be told by a doc, it's viral. But they are miserable when they spike their temps... going about every 4-6 hours. Thankfully we have that scheduled (ha ha). And now I'm listening to a screaming K who 1) does NOT have a temp right now, but nonetheless 2) is PO'd right now at me b/c she wants to be in my arms and play with my hair instead of falling asleep. I should be just letting her, but I am exhausted too. And trying to pay bills. Which makes for a CRABBY Maba. I'd drink a beer, but Superhero is off delivering Luke back to school after his town ball game (which they won). Anyway, I digress.
Crying has somewhat ceased. Oops, nope, back again. She is TICKED. So - the question. Do you always, ALWAYS, go to quiet a crying baby? It is truly gut-wrenching. Anyone with kids understands this. Realistically, one can't always go. Especially when one is outnumbered 3 to 1 and all have fevers. And now, it has ceased. Again. She is falling asleep. She certainly has cried longer than this. I admit it, I'm weak. I go up to her room, a lot. Human pacifier. But tonight, not for now.
And now, speaking of outnumbered... tonight they have been playing musical wake-up. When one crying stops, the other starts. But for now, all is quiet on our western front and it is back to paying bills for this Maba. And if I'm motivated, maybe I'll post some pictures... (yeah...)
Hey, I gotta fill up my time somehow since we still don't have TV.
