Chaos continues to ensue at our home. Constant noise. There are "Calgon take me away!!" moments where I now realize the meaning behind that commercial. Usually our home or our vehicle is full of children singing, crying, telling stories, whining, laughing - all simultaneously. Dog barking too. And whenever I think it's too stimulating, I think of the StoryPeople picture we have in our kitchen that says, "There are lives I can imagine without children, but none of them have the same laughter and noise." An Aunt Linda gift. I would miss ALL of this noise if I didn't have it.
The past few days have consisted of (though not an all inclusive list):
- 1st day of summer vacation (YAY!)
- teething, we think, which has meant temps (body temps that is) of 103 and still no teeth
- Luke home to play town ball
- a sleep over with Casey & Ryan and Sat. a.m. pancakes
- movie night (w/ kids and WITHOUT! Yes, I stayed up! Watched Hancock, very funny)
- sleeping in (thank you Superhero)
- church
- graduation parties
- grocery shopping
- cold rainy days and a furnace that will not work, so now a fire in the fireplace (YES!)
- no success with potty training (2 told me even M&M's would not make him happy or go pee on the potty)
- watching baby birds born in a nest outside our front door
- laundry and more laundry
- endless talking by Thing Two
- middle of the night visits and snuggles with all three - lots o' family-bed time.
Here are the pictures, not in any order, and yes, my Superhero is joking in the background.
